Telefax is a variation of Chinese whispers.

You don't need any equipment. If you want to sit during the game, you need some benches, but you can also play the game while sitting on the floor or while standing.

The players are sitting or standing in a row. They present their back to the next player in the row. The last player then "paints" a short message (a simple symbol or letter) on the back of the player standing in front of him. Similar to Chinese whispers the player in front gets no further hints and may ask no further questions. He just tries to recreate what he felt and paints the same image on the back of the player in front of him.

In the end, all players compare what they report to have felt.
