Bridge tag is a tag game. To play the game, you don't need any equipment, but you do require a small playing field.

You don't need any special equipment.

Procedure

First, a player is chosen to be chaser (tagger). Once the game starts, he has to tag all other players. Everybody who got tagged (who is touched by the chaser) has to form a bridge on the floor.

All un-tagged players can free the tagged ones by crawling under the bridge. If they manage to do so, both continue as free players.

The game ends when either all players are tagged and are bridges, or the chaser gives up due to exhaustion.

Variants

• If you only got a small playing field, you can make the liberation of the "bridges" easier. For instance, the players trying to liberate a bridge get immune as soon as they are below the bridge. If they are tagged by the chaser then, they are not actually tagged (but may continue the game), but the liberation attempt does not count (the bridge is not liberated).
