Crowded circles
Type: coordination game
Number of players: any, depending on available space
Location: room that can be darkened
Equipment: chalk or similar
Duration: a few minutes
Preparation: draw the circles

Crowded circles is a game for any number of players (when enough space is available). It must be played in a room that can be completely darkened.

Equipment

  • Several circles must be drawn on the floor. Those should be removable of course, and the players should not be able to sense them (so ropes or adhesive tape cannot be used).

Procedure

The players are on one end of the room. On the other end, several circles are drawn. The number size of the circles depends on the available space, the number of participants and the desired level of complexity.

Then, the light is turned off. The players have a few seconds time to move towards the circles. Of course, no supporting tools may be used (no pocket lamps, no matches, etc.). When the light is turned on again, all players that are NOT standing in one of the circles are out of the game. Then, another round starts. The last player to survive wins the game.
